European co-development

The objective of the support to European co-development is to support the cooperation among European production companies that are developing works with a strong international audience potential. This grant aims to increase collaboration at the development stage between European production companies from different countries and markets, enhancing the number of co-productions, and improving the quality, feasibility, cross-border potential, and market value of selected projects. It supports the development of a single project for commercial exploitation intended for cinema release, television broadcasting, or digital platforms in animation, creative documentary, or fiction. At least two independent European production companies must co-develop the project, focusing on creative value, cultural diversity, and wide cross-border exploitation potential while fostering sustainability, inclusivity, and gender balance.
