This grant aims to maintain and enhance the EU’s nuclear competences through a comprehensive and sustainable pan-European education and training (E&T) programme in nuclear engineering and technologies (including ionising radiation applications beyond nuclear energy). The action is intended to complement national programmes to ensure a sufficient, skilled workforce for the nuclear sector. Activities include coordination, sharing best practices, promoting Euratom competences in nuclear safety, security, safeguards, radioactive waste management and radiation protection, expanding mobility and job opportunities, advancing nuclear education with digital tools (including AI), and making nuclear careers attractive to new generations, including younger students, teachers, doctoral candidates, and workers from other sectors. The project will provide a single-entry point website for nuclear E&T in the EU and implement a robust, pan-European mobility scheme, also supporting international cooperation. Grants to third parties are foreseen to facilitate participation of students and young researchers.
