Co-funded European partnership for research in nuclear materials

This action aims to provide additional funding to the co-funded European partnership on nuclear materials that brings together European entities with a national mandate for research in materials science and nuclear materials. The goal is to pool resources to achieve critical mass and improve safety, efficiency, and effectiveness in implementing nuclear materials solutions across Europe. The partnership covers the research interests of all EU Member States and Associated Countries in nuclear materials research. Outcomes include enhancing knowledge of nuclear materials and fuels, supporting innovative solutions for reactor systems, improving predictive modelling, supporting the extension of nuclear power plant lifetimes, and advancing knowledge management and experimental capabilities related to nuclear materials. The partnership supports safe operation of nuclear installations and fosters cooperation, knowledge transfer, and capacity building throughout the EU.
