Bee Family Support 2025

Support provided to beekeepers with the aim of promoting the development of beekeeping, ensuring the vitality of bee families, and improving the sustainability of beekeeping in Estonia. The support is funded from the Estonian state budget.

Coverage

The unit rate will be confirmed no later than October 1, 2025. The unit rate depends on the number of bee families and the size of the budget.

Grant application conditions

Type of applicant
  • A natural person (including sole proprietors) or a legal entity (e.g., a private limited company) who keeps bee families and is registered in the PRIA agricultural support and land parcel register.
Minimum number of bee families
  • At least 16 bee families, which are properly registered in the PRIA register as of May 1.
Requirement for the location of bee families
  • The locations of the bee families must be correctly registered in the PRIA land parcel register.
Geographical restriction
  • Republic of Estonia.
De minimis aid restriction
  • The de minimis aid limit has been raised to 50,000 euros over three consecutive years.
Compliance with animal disease control requirements
  • Bee families must comply with the requirements arising from the Animal Disease Control Act.
